The Weimaraner

Although the Weimaraner can make a great family dog, especially because of his love for children and watchdog capabilities, he is a very dominant breed and needs obedience training. The owner must remain in control. This dog also needs a lot of exercise, which cannot be ignored if he lives in a city apartment. The Weimaraner started as an intelligent mix of hunting dogs and Bloodhounds. They played a special role in wolf and bear hunts of members of the German court of Weimar.
