Keeping a crate cool by Kool Kennel
Petville just found a cool product for your crated canine. Kool Kennel™ is a device that delivers cooled air into an animal crate.
When I saw the retail price is listed at $299, I wasn't thinking it was so cool, BUT I thought about it a bit and I remember seeing quite a few devices like this at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show last month. A benched show like that requires your dog to stay in a crate for literally hours. This can put obvious stress on your pet.
I don't want people to think it's an alternative to keeping your pet alone in a car for extended periods of time. Along with a standard wall power outlet connection, this device does offer a cigarette lighter plug-in option for traveling - but you should never leave your pet in a car unattended.
It's portable and lightweight, and a great solution to keep your pet cool rather than an entire room or house.

I think this is a great idea, where can I purchase this product?

I have 2 Alaskan Malamutes, and live in an area that gets up to 116degrees in the Summer. This would be perfect for keeping them cool. Any word on where this product can be found?

I think this is a great idea. Who would have thought that someone would come up with a pet crate AC! This is going to be a big hit in a few months for sure.
FYI. If you click Kool Kennel in the text you can get to the products web-site

This sounds like a ripoff of the Komfort Pets Carrier... That's an actual carrier with A/C and heating too, not just a fan that you attach to a carrier. Costs around the same too, for a lot more. http://www.komfortpets.com

I think this is a great idea. Everyone has their own dog crates already so the fact that this portable unit can attach to any carrier or crate-is genius! I can attach it to the metal folding crates that I use at shows and then attach it to the plastic crates that I transport my dogs in. It’s versatile. At first I though $299 was a lot but compared to the price of the carrier that is listed above this thing is a bargain. Who wants to buy a crate when they already have dozens?

My name is George Lewis and I am the inventor of Kool Kennel TM ! I wanted to thank Petville for posting some information about our new pet product for this summer. We are currently gearing up for production, but we do have limited supplies of Kool Kennel available now. We had great success with our public depute at The Westminster Kennel Club Show this year, and we are looking forward to providing safe cooling for all of your animals. You may contact us through our web site via email or our form page!

Finally. Something that will actually work and not make me feel guilty for that hot dog of mine. We travel full time and I often worry about my border collie getting too hot in the south west sun and heat.
Thanks for thinking of our beloved pets.
