My dog almost took my fingers off for this one - he who is normally so blase about treats. He got to lick the bowl! You need a strong stomach to work with liver, let alone put it in a blender, but I tried not to think about it and it went quickly. I added 3 cloves of garlic, and used more whole wheat flour and oatmeal for the flour and wheat germ. Dogs shouldn't have salt and don't need it; leave it out. I baked it for 25 minutes to make sure it was dry and crunchy. Cut it up with a pizza cutter into little squares, froze a bunch in a ziploc and the rest, well, into the treat jar. I have enough treats for a couple months or more for $5 in ingredients. And he's giddy.

wow, thanks for that cute visual of a day in your kitchen with your pup. We don't often get feedback on the recipes - and yes, liver is not my favorite ingredient to work with, but the dogs LOVE it. thanks again for sharing.
